March 20, 2015 – On March 22, Sharing the Stage will present their tenth show at The Jewel Box Theater from 4-7 PM. The headliners for the program are Brooklyn-based Hank & Cupcakes (photo below). The openers for the show are SAAS students including:

Sharing the Stage is a community-building organization started in 2010 that provides high school musicians with the opportunity to meet, be mentored by, and perform with established bands in professional venues. Past bands that students have worked with include Visqueen (2010), Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (2011), Thomas Marriott & Human Spirit (2011), Blue Scholars (2012), The Wellingtons (2012), The Physics (2013), Kublakai (2013), Tangerine (2014), and BFA: Brothers From Another (2014). The organization was formed by Vashon Islanders Rob Bordner, Harris Levinson, and Fred Strong, Seattle Academy’s Dean of Faculty. The original idea was to support young musicians on Vashon Island. The concept can work anywhere, however, and this weekend’s show will be the first concert in this series to be held in Seattle.
Congratulations to the above musicians for being selected as openers for the show.
